Job Summary
Assesses, plans, organizes, performs and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of pediatric patients receiving procedural sedation. Provides health education to parents and patients pre and post sedation. Initiates and interprets hemodynamic monitoring parameters. Coordinates efforts of the multidisciplinary team in planning patient care. Evaluates effectiveness of sedation plan.
Job Duties
- Assesses, plans, organizes, performs and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of pediatric patients receiving procedural sedation.
- Provides health education to parents and patients pre and post sedation.
- Initiates and interprets hemodynamic monitoring parameters.
- Coordinates efforts of the multidisciplinary team in planning patient care.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the sedation plan.
- Collaborates with the department secretary to schedule procedures.
- Reviews patients medical record for sedation risk assessment criteria.
- Participates in the teams Performance Improvement activities.

Position Details
Work Schedule/Additional Job Details:
- Monday through Friday
- No weekends or holidays
- Hours vary based on procedures. Hours will be between 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- No Travel
- This role works with pediatrics patients. Lots of Autonomy and a chance to use your critical care skills outside of the inpatient setting or OR

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
Experience
Minimum of 3 years-Nursing (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
