Account Manager, Customer Success (Pharmacy) - London (Hybrid)

About the role:
As a Pharmacist Account Manager, you will support the Optum UK Medicines optimization account team and manage ongoing contract relationships teams helping deliver the Medicines optimization strategy.
Using your pharmacist expertise, training and knowledge you will facilitate improvements in the safety, quality and cost effectiveness of prescribing for clients through the use of Optum’s ScriptSwitch support software and other medicines optimisation services that are developed. Within the role you will collaborate with stakeholders across Optum UK, to strategise clinical sales across the UK region and support the development of products and services.
Serving as the primary liaison for Optum UK MO clinical operations, your ability to champion, support and develop relationships for our account management team internally and externally will be pivotal to your success.
Please note that travel and some overnight stays will be a requirement of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and facilitate local action plans, prioritising account manager and client needs to achieve their aims and objectives of using ScriptSwitch/MO software and services.
- Partner with clients to review and develop client specific profiles of prescribing recommendations
- Facilitate and ensure the timely update, maintenance and management of client recommendation profiles, and the underlying drug data.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders within primary care medicines optimisation teams, other primary care staff and general medical practice staff who are using, or considering using ScriptSwitch or other MO software and services
- Visit targeted GP practices to assist in identifying individuals suitable for immediate high impact changes in their repeat medications, supporting prescribers in addressing medicines optimisation issues
- Conduct audit, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of appropriate data as required by the Company and locally by clients. This also includes providing advise to clients, who use ScriptSwitch or other MO software services reports and data sources such as ePACT.
- Identify outcome indicators to demonstrate the effectiveness of ScriptSwitch (Other MO Software services) whilst ensuring the effective collection of data to help with evaluation
- Train PCOs, healthcare professionals and their staff on ScriptSwitch software and other MO software services, financial reporting and investigation, stakeholder engagement etc
- Develop a regional network and make links within primary care and other agencies nationally to facilitate collaborative work on prescribing issues
- Support the Sales Team on medicines optimisation issues
- Promote the Optum UK and UHG Brand at events.
- Maintain personal and professional development to make the maximum contribution to the work of the Medicines Optimisation Team
- Lead UAT (User acceptance testing) for products and services within the Account Management team
- Provide technical resource to support the overall account management administration effort in a positive way:
- This resource will link Customer service, Technology, product, and marketing
- This resource will manage identified smaller accounts (Within the tiering) creating a pathway for account manager development but also allowing deeper development of identified gold customers.
- Co-ordinate the alignment of key activities within the account management team allowing more planned and valuable work in segmented customers (E.g., Profile builds).
The role will:
- Improve the way Product, Technology, Account Managers work together enhancing customer experience
- Support NHS initiatives (Green), increase current customer profiling, create needed SOP’s, build case studies to support tenders
- Provide more ‘capacity’ to do the rights things
- Assist with other ad-hoc requests depending upon business need.

Required Qualifications:
- You will need to be registered within the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)
- You will need to have a passion for Medicines Optimisation
- Comfortable managing & reporting on data sets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical Pharmacy experience
- CCG Medicines Optimisation experience
- Practiced based pharmacy experience
- Commercial Account management experience
