Job Description:
Manages the day to day operations of the Central Campus or offsite facilities Patient Access Mgmt functions which includes any combination of the following functions; outpatient registration, inpatient registration, ambulatory surgery registration, insurance verification, point of service cash collections, service authorizations, denial management and unbilled management.
� Monitors departmental quality and productivity levels and ensures industry and system performance standards are maintained.
� Assists in the development of and monitors budget performance for the department. Works with hospital and department leadership to ensure operational efficiency.
� Identifies the need for policy development and/or revision, defines policies in collaboration with higher level management input, goals and objectives.
� Approves procedures/protocols and/or seeks other departmental approvals as appropriate.
� Manage personnel actions such as hires, fires and disciplines.
� Works collaboratively with all departments within the revenue cycle to achieve corporate goals and ensure the financial well-being of the hospital and the DMC.
� Supports and assists with the efforts to realign the front-end revenue cycle from a site specific reporting model to a central reporting structure.
� Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies.
� As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
2. Three to five years progressively more responsible related experience, including supervisory/leadership experience.
