JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Product Management will be responsible for driving and supporting operational initiatives with technology driven solutions, making thoughtful decisions based on evidence and a deep understanding of product and market. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes and technologies, leveraging their expertise to provide guidance and direction on identifying the most effective technology solutions to fit the needs of our business. This individual will have a strong project management background working across multiple domains of IT. They will need to build a trusted relationship with our executive stakeholders, developers, and operational leaders with an emphasis on communication and transparency throughout each step of the project. In addition, this individual needs to be a strong leader, coach and mentor for their own team.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated a proven record of managing and delivering multiple product technology projects, building effective customer relationships, collaborating and leading a team under a positive and proactive work environment, and ensuring day to day support of designated product portfolio under an agile environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle several projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies and timelines through which these projects need to be executed
- Prioritize and work with people at different levels within the organization and provide constant, consistent view of where the projects are
- Metricize and roll-up tasks so project reports can roll from a summary view to a detailed view
- Integrate finance and HR data into projects so leaders can get a comprehensive view of costs of projects
- Work with leaders to (re-)prioritize projects
- Take ownership for the assigned overarching product portfolio via product roadmaps and cross-functionally drive development and launch of the product from concept to delivery
- The role is not responsible for the development or launch itself but is rather the orchestrator of the entire lifecycle, escalating when projects are underfunded or run the risk of long delays
- Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders (ex. operations, implementation, business analytics, and engineering) to streamline process of gathering requirements / ideas / inputs and manage their priorities and expectations. Essentially ensure all teams are marching to a single drum beat
- Escalate when there is dissonance
- Follow the definition of epics and user stories, including UX/CX/Support requirements along with ROI models for metrics being targeted. Ensure that all stake holders are appropriately informed and synchronized from concept to inception to delivery to operationalization
- Help to remove obstacles to development teams for effective and efficient product delivery
- Review plans with software development teams and take ownership of product lifecycle

- CBAP certified
- 10+ years of prior tech product management experience preferably in health IT services / health tech product environment preferred
- Experience in healthcare / healthcare IT desirable
- Exposure to HL7, EHR, healthcare processes is a definite plus
- Experience working on Workflow Management Products desirable
- Experience delivering products and showing the impact of the work you have done
- Agile experience or certification desirable
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.
- Degree (Bachelor�s or Master�s) in Healthcare / Information Systems / Business Administration / Computer Science.
