Overlook Medical Center, a part of Atlantic Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Preadmission Testing/Screening Department. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts or 10 hour shifts. No weekends required.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills

Assures that systems are in place to ensure appropriate resources and competent staff, directs department operations on a continuous basis and advises management on operational and functional improvement opportunities
Ensures that budget monitoring processes are in place and that appropriate action plans are established to address variances outside of established parameters
Identifies and implements ways to reduce and control expenses, as well as enhance revenues in the hospital and assigned areas
Ensures staff and physician awareness of cost impact on organization, focuses staff on continuously building customer satisfaction for patients, physicians, colleagues, the community and other departments served
Engages staff in continually raising the bar in service excellence, communicates effectively as hospital/system advocate to members of the community, continually seeks ways to promote organization to the public
Assures that implementation of standards of professional practice occur
Reviewing and revising policies as necessary to reflect changes in practice and to ensure safe, effective and efficient patient care
Ensures compliance with local, state, federal rules and regulations and OSHA and Joint Commission standards consistently in collaboration with other healthcare team members
Education: BSN Required
Master's Degree Preferred
Required License: Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
Certifications: BLS Required ACLS Preferred
Required Experience: At least 5 years of progressive Nurse Leadership experience
