This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. The Mgr, Operations RN will primarily support and manage the operations of the Surgery Services and Anesthesiology departments.  The primary goal and purpose of this position is to improve the efficiency and quality of medical treatment services provided by the Surgery Services department.  This position will be responsible for all day to day operations and will be expected to communicate and escalate their needs accordingly.  The Mgr, Operations RN will also be responsible for providing a team-oriented learning environment to enable staff members to develop behaviors and skills to perform their core responsibilities within Surgery Services.  This position will be expected to take a leadership role in the development, implementation and evaluation of staff members to enhance the Surgery Services department and meet the ongoing needs of our Physician partners and the community.   

• Create and implement goals and objectives for the Surgery Services and Anesthesiology departments that are in support and alignment with Saddleback Medical Center and MemorialCare System, additionally effectively communicate these goals to staff members. 
• Consistent and clear collaboration and communication with interdisciplinary departments.
• Maintain organized records in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. 
• Interview and onboard new staff members in association with department staffing needs. 
• Create or delegate work scheduled development for Surgery Services staff to promote fairness and consistent department operational coverage as needed based on patient volumes. 
• Maintain consistent knowledge and compliance with all regulatory requirements associated with the Surgery Services / Operating Room service line. 
• Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients. 
• Serves as a leader to solve problems and implement meaningful department changes to enhance the department and service line.
