In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
Improving time to activation for research studies is a critical goal for Memorial Sloan Kettering to ensure competitiveness in the industry. We are currently seeking a Protocol Review and Monitoring Administrator to provide operational, technical, and administrative leadership and expertise in protocol review committee management and oversight to support the achievement of our goals for time to activation. This individual will be a critical member of the Clinical Research Administration team. Join us today and make a difference every day!
You Will:
- Set and implement standards for protocol review activities, and initiate policies and procedures to meet those standards, to ensure the highest quality review of new clinical research studies.
- Anticipate challenges to protocol review and approval and plan effective interventions based on circumstances.
- Define metrics for determining progress/success, and conduct routine and ad hoc analysis of committee outcomes, for physician leadership within clinical departments, institutional committees and members, and MSK leadership.
- Oversee aspects of MSK's Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS).
- Demonstrate technical expertise in protocol review and federal/regulatory guidelines as they apply to clinical research at MSK.
You Have:
- 7+ years of clinical research experience, including experience with Human Subjects Protection, GCP and GMP standards, FDA/EMA requirements, and quality standards and systems; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in staff supervision and management.
- A demonstrated track record of embracing new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated analytical skills - A strong ability and understanding on how to collect, analyze, interpret and prepare data for presentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills - An ability to analyze situations, draw conclusions, make recommendations and convey information in a timely and proficient manner.
- Strong collaboration and team building skills to meet shared objectives and goals.
- Ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects to successful completion within established deadlines.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Individual must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff including clinical staff, administration, research and clerical support staff, institutional leaders and external sponsors.
This position will be primarily remote with 2-3 in-person days per month in New York City. This may change based on current climate/institutional expectations.
