SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position will provide director-level administrative support to the VP of Operations as well as supporting the Children's Hospital Executive Team (CHET) through execution of projects, initiatives and communications. The incumbent will provide process and project management support as well as analytic and business plan development in support of the children's hospital programs and services. S/he will also develop policies, procedures, and execute projects and work plans that improve operations and enhance service, quality and reduce costs. S/he will have management responsibility for specific hospital related programs and contracts such as the Complex Fetal Care Center (CFCC), U.S. News and World Report Best Children's Hospitals, Level 1 Children's Surgical Verification Program, Milk Bank / barcoding milk, Interactive patient education system, several safety systems and Children's Hospital Association relationship, among others. This role works with stakeholders across various clinical disciplines and support services to ensure coordination of initiatives from a holistic/global perspective and is responsible for driving assigned initiatives forward.
Master's degree in Healthcare of Business discipline required
Seven (7) years of healthcare experience required
Five (5) years of management experience required
Must have experience with budgeting procedures and a demonstrated ability to function as an innovator and change agent
Must be able to develop an effective partnership with physicians and to communicate clearly with patients and all members of the staff
