ChristianaCare is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Manager for our Kidney Transplant Program located at the Medical Arts Pavilion 2 in Newark, DE.
The Clinical Manager provides leadership and supervisory oversight to clinical staff of the Kidney Transplant Program, in conjunction with the transplant physicians and the administrative director. This role is responsible for team engagement, patient relations, policy management, regulatory oversight, patient flow, oversight of the patient records system, facilitating change and staff education.
The Clinical Manager also serves as the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Manager. This involves oversight for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. This includes review of evidence based literature/benchmarks and suggesting revisions/additions to the indicators for monitoring and evaluation of quality care. This is broadly perceived as regulatory compliance; however is the critical core of our clinical operations.
Coaching and development for a multi-disciplinary team
Clinical operations decision maker.
Conducts chart reviews to ensure policies and guidelines are followed and accurate documentation is captured.
Assists in maintaining compliance with requirements of external agencies specifically related to Transplant, including CMS, CMS F-QAPI, UNOS/OPTN, The Joint Commission, and the ESRD Network.
Maintain and complete all data submissions as required by UNOS, JCAHO and/or other agencies.
Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI):
Works closely with the CCHS Performance Improvement Manager and Patient Safety Accreditation Manager to ensure QAPI standards are aligned with the broader organization.
Prepares and updates QAPI dashboard and co-leads scheduled bi-monthly QAPI meetings with surgical director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BSN in Nursing or other licensed clinician in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of related experience in health care. Organ transplant experience preferred.
8:00AM-5:00PM office setting with some on-call rotation coverage
