Coordinate annual giving events including the signature fundraising event, Mayfaire, the employee giving campaign, Impact, and third party fundraising events. This position is responsible for managing both community and employee mid-level donors while working with the Major Gifts Director to cultivate, steward and grow our donor database.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitates all aspects of event planning, with emphasis on the Foundation's signature event, Mayfaire, and employee giving campaign, Impact.
Works in conjunction with Major Gifts Director for solicitation of Mayfaire sponsors and donors.
Manage event calendars, prep agendas & lead event planning committee meetings, recruit committee members, secure event logistics and lead event wrap up including donor stewardship initiatives.
Directs the development and coordination of collateral materials for events.
Maintains Annual Giving calendar of events.
Participates in meetings of the Board of Directors and their committees and provides verbal and written reports to the Foundation Board of Directors and the Development & Stewardship Committee of the Board. In coordination with other development staff, designs and provides education and personalized engagement plans for Board members.
Develops budgets for events and monitors income and expenses.
Directs development and coordination of event communications and collateral materials.
Plans and executes stewardship in conjunction with Major Gifts Director including thank you letters, phone calls, recognition events.
Coordinates any third-party fundraising event details with event organizers and determines the Foundation's level of involvement. Attends check or donation presentations.
Works with other members of the Development Staff of the Foundation and the System Communications staff to create year-end and other direct mail solicitation letters and supporting materials. Designs donor segmentation plans and analyzes results. Keeps records for year-to-year comparisons and benchmarking of solicitation results.
Identifies, manages, and cultivates prospective donors, evaluates capacity to give and maintains portfolio of annual donors.
Prepares goals for Annual Fund component of the Foundation's strategies, monitors progress and analyzes results.
Researches, identifies, and promotes hand-off of high-capacity donors to Major Gifts Director.
Updates donor database with phone, email, and mail communication.
Other fund-raising duties as assigned.

3-5 years experience in fundraising and special event planning
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills with experience with Raiser's Edge a plus
