Manages the nursing services and staff for the inpatient Rehab department; ensures quality and full compliance with relevant policies and standards.
Major Responsibilities
Implementing and monitoring programs and practices for the delivery of safe and efficient quality practice for referral and admissions process into the rehabilitation hospital Ensures consistent application of policies and standards throughout the department and organization Monitors the referral and admission process for quality and effectiveness Oversees the performance of the admissions, referral and marketing teams within the inpatient rehab setting; identifies and addresses staff training and development needs on an ongoing basisStandard I: Financial Management
Apprises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to the admissions, referral or marketing services as needed Recognizes the impact of reimbursement on revenue Understands the relationship between values-based purchasing and quality outcomes with revenue and reimbursement Creates, monitors, and analyzes a budget; explaining variance Conducts ongoing evaluation of productivity, forecasting future revenue and expenses Documents capital appropriations and project authorizations Standard II. Requirements:
A. Education
Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelors of Science in Nursing required · Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related advanced degree in health related field preferred
B. Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years' of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting, inpatient rehab experience required Minimum of 2 years' of healthcare leadership C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
· RN license in good standing in state of employment or a compact state , if applicable
· Registered Nurse (RN) required
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support
