The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Program Manager to provide regulatory oversight of our department fellowships. They will also manage the application process for future fellowships to ensure the programs meet published accreditation standards, process all necessary accreditation fees, and assist with the initial site visits. We currently have one AAGL fellowship, two ACGME fellowships and have begun the application process for a third ACGME fellowship.
The Program Manager will attend training sessions sponsored by the ACGME either at the ACGME or APGO/CREOG meetings to be knowledgeable about current requirements and updates to the requirements. They will be responsible for ensuring that all department fellowships adhere to AAGL and ACGME policies and procedures, common program requirements, competency-based requirements, meet all standards for fellowship review and reporting, documentation and ongoing program accreditation and site visits. They will attend VUMC sponsored GME meetings and training sessions, serve as liaison between our fellows, the Program Director and the GME office, assist with fellowship recruiting and work with our residency and student programs as needed.
Experience with graduate medical education or post graduate medical education is required. This position will report directly to Dr. Melinda New, Vice Chair, Education and Faculty Development.
