Responsibilities: In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:
Supervise and coordinate all technical staff including evaluating performance to enhance high quality radiation therapy.
Participate in quality assurance to ensure accuracy of treatment plan and delivery. Review and amend patient billing for accuracy.
Participate in the clinical instruction of newly hired radiation staff and radiation therapy students.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, and rewarding and disciplining employees.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment. Directly supervise employees in the radiation oncology program which may include mold technicians, simulation therapists, and radiation therapists.
Implement standard radiation oncology and diagnostic policies and procedures throughout the practice.
Direct the hiring and training of all radiation and imaging personnel for maximum service to patients in accordance with practice and USON policies and procedures.
Develop performance expectations, and departmental objectives for radiation staff positions to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Monitor staff members to include up to date state licensure and are adequately trained to perform duties.
Assist in the development and implementation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on organization goals and objectives.
Ensure the correct use of charge codes and educates all radiation and imaging staff in correct documentation per US Oncology reimbursement guidelines. Ensures all billing is completed in a timely manner.
Ensure the provision of quality radiation and imaging care; this includes radiation treatment delivery, dosimetry, brachytherapy, and diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies for Radiography and Radiation Therapy.
Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
Minimum of (5) five years actively practicing as an RTT.
What You Bring to the Team:
Experience with VisionRT preferred.
Experience with SRS and/or SBRT preferred.
Experience with CT Sim preferred.
The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks are required in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. Candidates who accept employment including current employees who are applying for internal positions, are required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to their start date. Religious and medical exemptions are available to those who meet the criteria.
