Responsible for nursing research and evidence based practice activities to promote innovations in the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Establishes a system to mentor staff in creating practice innovations through research and evidence based practice activities. Collaborates with colleagues across disciplines and academic departments in the pursuit of joint research and innovation pursuits. Director will have small department of direct reports; however, will be responsible for oversight of research activities, including IRB process, for entire Department of Nursing in collaboration with the Directors of Nursing Education and Professional Development, Nursing Quality and Safety, and the Magnet Program.
PHD in Nursing or related field
Two (2) years of experience in research activities
Clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
