RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a physician with extensive clinical and leadership in all aspects of critical care to join our network as a System Director of Critical Care Medicine. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an evidence-based, best practice Critical Care Service line for all adult intensive care units in the RWJ Barnabas Healthcare System. This position will report to the Emergency and Hospitalist Service Line Senior Vice President and Chief of Hospitalist Medicine of Emergency.
The Director is expected to grow and integrate an evidence-based, best practice, multi-site critical care service line. They will develop, implement and manage a standardization process for quality care across the System.
The Director will have clinical as well as administrative supervisory responsibility over the entire department/service line as well as lead recruitment efforts to attract world-class intensivists. They will maintain and fortify a collegial relationship between the critical care practitioners and all health care professionals. The Director will collaborate with Physician ICU Directors at each facility to identify and rollout process enhancements for their respective ICUs.
