Summary Nurse Manager is Responsible to provide direction/supervision of staff and planning for safe and effective nursing care of the patient undergoing surgical services. Nurse Manager supervise nursing duties according to AORN / ASPAN / SGNA standards and established policies and procedures of the department of Surgery, OPSF, Sterile Processing & Anesthesia. Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment. Nurse Manager assists and provides input to Director regarding employment interviews, staff performance issues/needs, and employee schedules. Nurse Manager assists with the ongoing Performance Improvement Program. Specialized nursing care utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with professional standards. Nurse Manager adhere to the Florida State Nurse Practice
