The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next Chief Information and Digital Technology Officer (CIDTO). This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead information technology at one of the largest and most diverse academic medical centers (AMC) in the country and the only AMC in central Ohio. The health system is focused on delivering world class, compassionate patient care while advancing their education and research missions. The CIDTO is a critically important hire and will have a key role in partnering with senior leadership to lead and support OSUWMC's vision, growth and strategic priorities.
As a member of the OSUWMC Leadership Team, the CIDTO will provide the strategic and operational leadership to effectively guide the future direction of IT and digital health technology in alignment with the mission and goals of OSUWMC. The CIDTO will develop the vision and plan to further transform the technology enterprise in support of education, research and clinical care needs, building off a strong foundation that is currently in place. In addition, the CIDTO will continue to maintain and elevate a high performing IT organization.
The CIDTO will have a lead role in advancing the digital health technology strategy working in partnership with the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. Other priorities include building and scaling the IT infrastructure to enable organizational growth and expansion, supporting organizational initiatives related to health equity and driving IT initiatives to advance research and education including learning analytics.
The ideal candidate for the CIDTO position will be an accomplished executive with a proven track record of success leading the IT function in a complex health system preferably an AMC. The CIDTO will be a confident, collaborative and team-oriented professional who will communicate effectively and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organization. The ability to understand the multiple missions of education, research and clinical care is essential. The CIDTO will be a driven, innovative leader who will lead change effectively and deliver results in a growing and evolving health system.
