Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time RN to oversee the clinical opertions for their Private Home Care Home Health Agency. This position is predominately days (hours are flexible) Monday-Friday at the corporate office including weekends and and on-call as needed.
Develop, implement, and monitor the policies and procedures necessary to maintain the standards required by accrediting bodies and/or licensing agencies.
Review and oversee all contracts with insurance companies, home care companies and state or county agencies. Assist, as needed, with arranging for the appropriate data to be gathered for insurance companies when requests are made for information to be sent to them for their records.
Establish outcome criteria for the Clinical Indicators within the performance improvement program, monitor results and implement action plans as necessary.
Assist agency staff with the implementation of computer programs and materials necessary to support all standards and provide appropriate management information; i.e. expiring authorization reports.
Provide input into the development of the annual in-service program.
Assist Nursing Coordinator with all new private duty nursing (PDN) cases, as necessary.
Assist Scheduling Coordinators and HR Manager with monthly supervisions and client monitoring visits.
Review all weekly paperwork as it comes in and update tickler file for every two month visits, MD orders, Reassessments, Care Plans, etc.
Insure case manager visits are completed in a timely manner.
Monitor all PDN/Managed Care Authorizations with assistance from Billing Department.
Develop and maintain high tech training and competencies for field staff.
Assist HR in hiring, PPD testing and skill testing for all new hires.
Facilitate service recovery
Supervise the follow-through with MD orders, supervisory visits, insurance authorizations/approvals, care plans, medication profiles, assessments, reassessments, admission paperwork, discharge paper work, case conferences, and departmental / staff meetings.
Serve as Acting Administrator and/or nursing resource person for office and field staff in the Director's absence.
Oversee and visit all private duty nursing cases on at least an annual basis. Visit all clinically acute/high tech private duty nursing cases within first 48 hours.
Assign all discharge charts.
Act as supervisory and clinical support resource to field staff nurses and visit as necessary.
High School Diploma or GED required
Master's Degree preferred
Experience managing a Private Duty Home Health Service Firm.
Knowledge of NJ state Regulations for Home Care and Commission on Home care Accreditation.
Experience teaching the Certified Home health aide course preferred.
Valid NJ Driver's License a must
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
