Objective The Director of Nursing will provide nursing leadership in the development and implementation of nursing practice and the development of the nursing workforce across Landmark. Reporting to the Vice President of Nursing & Care Management and in partnership with other Landmark leaders, the DON will ensure the development and implementation of clinical strategies, polices, procedures, and informatics support to achieve nursing standardization, evidence-based practices, operational excellence, growth strategies and optimal patient outcomes.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for nursing standards to include quality, clinical services, care management, staff development, EMR capabilities and data and reporting
Lead development and drive implementation of standardized clinical education strategies that address organization needs, fosters improved outcomes and advances competency through utilization of current nursing theory and regulatory requirements
Partner with the Quality Specialist to develop and update nursing policies and procedures
Support Regional and Market HSDs to ensure that nursing staff provide care and services in keeping with Landmark policy, programs and model of care
Collect and review data to evaluate the quality of case management activities with a goal of continuous improvement
Work with Regional and Market Leadership teams to ensure performance and organizational goals are aligned, monitored and achieved and nursing staff maintains basic competencies as established by the Health Service Leadership
Support the VP of Nursing to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing scope of practice and licensure requirements
Supports the Director of Quality with the development and monitoring of nursing quality measurement strategies and in maintaining compliance with CMS regulations, CLIA standards, NCQA and HIPAA regulations
Partners with the VP of Nursing to support initiatives that foster a culture of nursing excellence and recognition for nursing practice

Unrestricted, current RN license
10+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience
Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
Expert knowledge of NCQA, HEDIS, CMS regulations, STARs

Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master’s in nursing or Health Care Administration
Health Plan and/or Medicare Advantage experience
Experience in case management, performance improvement, UM, quality, policy, and using data to drive strategic planning
Excellent communication and organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership
Travel up to 50%
