Nemours Children's Health Delaware is seeking a PICU Nurse Manager for our hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.

This position is responsible for a 24 bed ICU that provides care to patients from neonates to adult. Responsible for the operational and administrative support of nursing associates in collaboration with Senior nursing leaders to advance critical care while expanding the professional development of team members. This role is responsible for planning, development and utilization of human and material resources to meet departmental needs. Mentors and develops staff. Demonstrates a commitment to leading in adherence with the principles of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet model, exemplifying the transformational nursing leadership component of this model.
Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation. Leadership includes strategic planning, ensuring evidence based care delivery, benchmarked quality patient service and outcomes, experience with LEAN methodology (or similar) for continuous improvement, well developed change management skills, and fiscal stewardship.
Masters in Nursing or related field preferred.
Five years clinical experience required
Pediatric experience/ICU experience required
Knowledge of professional nursing theory & practice; knowledge of management theory and change process.
