SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Donor relations positions are responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating an organization-wide comprehensive program that appropriately and consistently promotes interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels.
Foundation Relations - Serve as the strategic leader responsible for securing gifts and grants ($50,000 to $1Million+) from private, corporate and family foundations. Responsible for annual revenue goal established by the department. Set strategy with the leadership of Every Child Succeeds to identify, coordinate and maximize all philanthropic support for the organization. Develop strong working relationships with national and local foundation managers. Manage, shape and oversee the preparation of philanthropic requests and reports. Collaborate with Major Gift Officers who serve as liaisons to various divisions throughout the medical center.
Donor and Prospect Development - Personally responsible for managing a portfolio and securing philanthropic gifts from high level donors and prospects.
Operational Management - Propose, research, and manage the development, implementation and assessment of long and short term operating goals and objectives. Operationalize, implement and monitor assigned strategic initiatives. Drive execution of the assigned strategic plan components.
Bachelor's degree in a related field
7+ years of experience in a fundraising capacity
Master's degree in a related field
Advanced fundraising credentials
-Program and Project Management - Personally responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation and completion of revenue-generating programs and projects.
