Progresses patients care based upon medical criteria for in-patient status. Manages care and resources to reduce unnecessary utilization, facilitates outpatient testing and follow-up when appropriate and collaborates in the development and implementation of performance improvement activities in collaboration with care management, physicians, and utilization management.
Excellent communication (oral and written) required to facilitate reviews and discussions with providers.
Knowledge of care and utilization management.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage case load and communicate with multi-disciplinary team members.
Ability to work independently and set priorities to ensure appropriate use of hospital resources.
Ability to lead individuals and groups.
5 years in-patient acute care hospital.
Master's Degree in nursing or Physician Assistant.
