SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Manager of Education and QA works collaboratively with the Medical Director(s) to administer the education and QA plans for the Department. They participate in related projects and will serve as a liaison to area EMS agencies and educational institutions for pre-hospital education. This Manager will also oversee and direct the on-boarding process for new employees and oversee all compliance requirements for the Department. The Manager of Education will supervise the Education Coordinator and the education and QA tasks performed by EMS Supervisors, Paramedic II's, and the Critical Care Team. They will contribute to the strategic planning process and attainment of goals of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree required
PA Certified Paramedic – Pennsylvania Department of Health Paramedic or PHRN
BLS provider and instructor (American Heart Association)
Basic Life Support (EMT) Instructor Certification – Pennsylvania Department of Health EMS Instructor
Six (6) years of experience in one of the following areas is required: Curriculum writing, and/or managing EMS/ education programs, and/or designing and conducting professional development programs for EMS and/or Critical Care providers. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Neonatal Resuscitation Program provider and instructor preferred
Master's degree preferred
ACLS provider and instructor preferred
PEPP provider and instructor preferred and/or PALS provider and instructor preferred
Credentialed to teach NAEMT courses preferred
If Paramedic or PHRN – IBSC – FP-C, CCP-C, OR FN-C – Critical Care preferred
