Developmental Biology Division Director Faculty Opportunity at Cincinnati Children's
The Director of the Division of Developmental Biology at Cincinnati Children's is a central leadership position at a world-leading pediatric healthcare institution. Faculty in the division investigate fundamental mechanisms of development at the molecular, cellular, organismal, physiological, or systems levels. Working in a pediatric hospital also provides a unique opportunity to accelerate translational studies that impact child health. The Developmental Biology division is committed to training and is home of the University of Cincinnati Graduate Program in Molecular and Developmental Biology.
The Director of Developmental Biology will provide the strategic vision to lead and cultivate an environment conducive to transformative research. The Director must be an academic leader in the field of Developmental Biology, with an active and vigorous research program. Additionally, the Director should demonstrate strong leadership, administrative, and management abilities, and uncompromising integrity and ethics. The successful candidate will be an established or emerging leader in the field who is committed to advancing the field through research, education, and mentorship. In addition, the candidate must facilitate communication, collaboration, trust, credibility, and confidence among divisional faculty and across Cincinnati Children's.

Qualifications
PhD, MD/PhD, or MD/DO degree, or equivalent
Qualified for Associate or Full Professor Rank, Tenure Track
Extensive knowledge of research in the field of Developmental Biology
Outstanding academic credentials with an established or emerging leadership record
Experience within the academic medical center setting and working with a culturally diverse population
An uncompromising commitment to excellence in research and education
Experience leading a faculty group
Ability to develop a collaborative vision, with a record for successfully implementing new initiatives that advance the field of developmental biology
Experience with leadership and management of financial and other resources
Demonstrated experience in recruiting, retaining, and mentoring top faculty and students
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that build and maintain trust with faculty, staff, administration, trainees, and all other stakeholders
Demonstrated commitment to valuing and actively promoting diversity
Respect for the tradition of collaborative science at Cincinnati Children's
