The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Heart of Florida
AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.

The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for supervisory and administrative work in directing and coordinating the Medical Staff Services Department. Responsible for the coordination of all operational aspects of the department, including organizing and conducting programs and establishing procedures for medical staff functions.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Handles credentialing of all initial and reappointment applications to the Medical Staff in a timely manner
·Identifies physicians' needs and offers solutions including educational opportunities, practice services and patient-based services
·Responsible for all committee meeting agendas and minutes relating to the functioning of the Medical Staff (i.e.:Credentials, Patient Safety, Medical Staff Departments, MEC, BOT, etc.)
·Responsible for completion and distribution of the ER On-Call Schedule
·Responsible for revision of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, and Rules and Regulations as needed. Coordinates the IRB Process.
·Serves as a liaison to the Medical Staff in resolving any hospital issues
·Coordinates continuing medical education programs for the medical staff and ensure compliance with CME accreditation process.
·Oversees the credentialing process for physicians, allied health professionals, and other health professionals/categories specified in the Medical Staff bylaws.
·Works cooperatively with quality and risk to develop accurate and complete physician profiles.
·Maintains systems to identify (and disseminate to others) medical staff members and their clinical privileges, prepares and maintains other related records and reports.
·Completes other duties as assigned and proactively anticipates the needs of other team members
·Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with the physician community and partner facilities
·Works with leadership to implement marketing initiatives for pipeline development of referring physicians
·Organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations to create a brand and services awareness
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree
·NAMSS Medical Staff Certification, CMSC or CPCS
·3-4 years of Medical Staff Credentialing Manager or Director experience
