SUMMARY OF POSITION:Â
Responsible for all aspects of professional development and education which include: overseeing competency-based educational programming, partnering with schools of nursing to create innovative curricula and learning experiences, collaborating with senior leadership to create a climate and structure that encourages lifelong learning, and developing and directing the implementation of nursing retention strategies. Provides oversight for the development, implementation, and review processes for nursing and department ancillary support staff education as determined by gaps in quality and performance. This position is accountable for leading the Clinical Nurse Educator and WOCN teams in driving high-quality patient care.Â
Master of Science in Nursing degree (MS/MSN) required.Â
Representative knowledge, skills, and abilities of Nursing Professional Development per the ANA Scope and Standards required.Â
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.Â
Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD preferred.Â
Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Nursing Administration preferred.
