A national executive search is underway as the current CFO plans to retire at the end of this year after 40 years with the organization. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Swope Health will affect the overall financial performance of the organization through effective leadership and direction on all matters related to financial and strategic business planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, reporting, risk management, investment & cash management, grants coordination, managed care contracting and coordination, billing, collections, and provider enrollment. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will contribute to the organization’s overall success through active participation and input to the strategic as well as operational direction and performance of the company. In addition, this role reports to the President and CEO of Swope Health.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. CPA, graduate degree or related credential and education is required.
Five (5) years of related financial experience (budgets, internal audits, forecasts and strategic financial planning) required.
Healthcare financial experience preferred.
10 years of experience in management, leadership, and direct supervision required.
Management experience at a FQHC or Critical Access Hospital is strongly preferred.
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant required.
