Shift: Days M-TH, 8 to 4 and Friday 8-3

The role you’ll contribute: 

 The Alumni Manager (a) sets the strategy and annual work plan to engage AHU alumni in the Alumni Advisory Board, Alumni Network, and Annual Fund. The Manager leads efforts to ensure excellent operations of  (b) alumni relationships, records and updates, (c) Alumni Advisory Board, (d) ) internal alumni communications, (e) external alumni news and communications, (f) alumni events, (g) alumni development advancements, (h) annual fund appeals in collaboration with AdventHealth Foundation, (i) major donor prospect identification, (j) evaluation, (k)  strategic planning, policy development, and assessment, (l) campus participation.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

            a)     Sets annual strategy and work plan for data and communications for all alumni stakeholders and audiences

b)     Develops and maintains relationships with alumni that connect them to their alma mater and

a.      Monitors and submits monthly updates to AHU Data Communication Manager (DCM) for entry in Salesforce database and/or Almabase database/website

b.     Enters data in AdventHealth Foundation Blackbaud RE NXT database if alumni is donor

c)     Provides staff support to Alumni Advisory Board, including creating an alumni award program, planning regular meetings, social gatherings, and activities; also managing career recognition, birthday greetings, condolences

d)     Communicates regularly with alumni, informally and formally, including reporting and writing a monthly alumni newsletter, identifying noteworthy alumni for profiles, sending birthday greetings, and making off-campus visits

e)     Creates content for alumni website and coordinates external alumni news in connection with AHU communication managers

f)      Works in collaboration with AHU’s social media department to keep Facebook and LinkedIn current

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other higher education degree

·       Two years of experience in corporate, professional, and/or higher education environments

·       Experience in higher education alumni relations and/or fund development and/or similar relevant role

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

·       Two years of experience in post-secondary education
