The role you’ll contribute:
A professional registered nurse manager who is responsible for the coordination of the activities, as well as evaluating the quality of patient care that is delivered in the Cardiac Cath Lab/ Interventional Radiology Suite, Cardiac Cath/ IR Recovery Unit and Cardiac Rehabilitation.The manager will act as a liaison between the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Recovery and Cardiac Rehabilitation personnel and the medical staff and other hospital personnel to provide quality care for the patients in the Cardiac Cath lab/ IR Suite, Cardiac Cath/IR Recovery Unit and Cardiac Rehabilitation department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, implements, and evaluates policies, standards, educational services, and programs that support the department.
Demonstrates initiatives in developing, implementing and analyzing quality improvement activities and outcomes of the department.
Initiates activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment activities.
Shows evidence of productivity as measured by the goals of worked and paid FTE’s
Analyzes and monitors compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards, including TJC, HFAP, licensing boards, etc.
Identifies and corrects environmental and practice safety issues.
Contributes to the recruitment and retention of employees.
Contributes to the resolution of employee satisfaction concerns in a timely manner, assuring they have been thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions taken, including notification of Human Resources if necessary.
Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner, ensuring they have been thoroughly addressed and appropriate action taken.
Submits reports and requests for information by established deadlines.
Represents Gordon Hospital in a professional manner to employees and community members.
Promotes professionalism in appearance, positive attitude and confidentiality.
Can function in all roles in the Cardiac Cath Lab/ Interventional Radiology Suite and Cardiac Cath/ IR Recovery Unit.
Coordinates orientation of new staff members and provides additional in-services/training to existing staff as needed
Rotates weekends and nights for interventional radiology call
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Competent giving sedation and other medications as needed
Able to monitor sedated patient
Critical care skills required
Charting and recording
EDUCATION, LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Requires a minimum of three years’ experience as an RN
Must have a current GA RN license
Must have current BLS and ACLS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath or critical care experience
