About This Position
ChristianaCare is seeking a Corporate Director of Finance to oversee the financial accounting processes and procedures for the ChristianaCare Health System entities providing direct patient care. This includes, but not limited to, ChristianaCare Newark Hospital, ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital, Affinity Health Alliance, ChristianaCare Home Health & Community Services and the ChristianaCare Medical Group.
Some responsibilities include.....
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial month end close process for the direct patient care entities.
Ensure consistent accounting policies and procedures are followed across all direct patient care entities, including constantly evaluating opportunities to improve and reduce manual processes.
Responsible for articulating the financial outcomes and interpretation of results for the associated entities to senior management.
Perform monthly net revenue analysis to ensure accounts receivable is appropriately stated, including the periodic review of the methodology utilized.
In coordination with the broader accounting team, review, interpret, and develop communication and adoption plans for relevant accounting guidance as developed by the FASB and other regulatory bodies.
Partner with the Financial Planning team to ensure accurate financial analysis of our short term and long-term forecasts as well as the annual operating budget and capital budgets

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting required
Master's Degree preferred
10+ years of relevant experience
Healthcare financial or related experience required
Public accounting experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
