Providence St. Vincent Medical Center seeks an experienced physician leader for the role of Division Chief of Women & Newborn's Services. This role serves both operational and medical staff functions and integrates system, service area, clinical program and hospital objectives to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of quality hospital-based Obstetric and Perinatal care. The successful candidate will be board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with demonstrated leadership and clinical credibility, and is capable of creating and sustaining collaborative relationships across all roles on the care team.
Part-time, 0.25 FTE
Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Demonstrated leadership required
Provides medical direction and oversight for Labor & Delivery, PSCU, Mother-Baby Unit, and other associated clinical areas as appropriate
Serves as voting member of MEC (serving in the "Women & Children's" role delineated in the Professional Staff Policies and Procedures)
Provides supervision and medical staff oversight for selected department chairs within the Women's and Children's Division
Serves as principal liaison for OB/GYN medical staff, administration, nursing leadership and Central Division Women & Children's Institute leadership to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Assists in strategic planning, program development, clinical quality, capital planning, throughput/capacity, safety and patient experience
Ability to nurture providers in their daily work and towards leadership roles
