The nurse manager is a registered nurse who coordinates the patient/resident care of a group of Veteran patients through direct supervision of the clinical support staff in an assigned area (i.e. registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, program support assistants and medical support assistants). The clinical coordinator/nurse manager executes leadership that is characterized by continuous responsibility and accountability within their assigned units/programs.
