The role you’ll contribute:
The Regional Supply Chain Director is responsible for providing leadership and management of all supply chain efforts for facilities in a defined region, serving as the direct report for all Supply Chain Directors/Managers within the region. This position serves to manage supply chain efforts across all facilities within the region, ensures alignment with system initiatives, oversees supply chain operations (receiving, logistics, distribution, inventory management, value analysis, customer service, etc.), and oversees the deployment of efforts related to operational excellence, contract compliance, conversions, utilization, and standardization of supplies, services, and equipment. Responsible for understanding non-supplies and purchased services costs, creating and implementing proactive strategies to improve processes, reducing supply and purchased services expense across the region, and ensuring best practices in place to monitor, control, and identify issues or unintended consequences. Builds relationships in the region and at corporate services to facilitate and promote the delivery of lowest total cost of supplies, services and equipment while supporting clinical, functional, operational and quality criteria necessary to fulfill our mission.

Provide oversight for Supply Chain daily operations and initiatives within a defined region
Attract, retain, and develop leaders to ensure continuous operational capability across supply chain. Perform management functions of goal setting, performance reviews, employee relations, training, and career development
Directly manage all Supply Chain Directors/Managers and Clinical Resource Managers within a defined region
Responsible for policy, leadership, and management of supply chain functions in the region
Create opportunities for collaboration across facilities within the region and serve as a conduit between facilities, the region, and corporate
Develop and implement processes that will streamline operations and create savings for the region; works closely with Value Added Teams (VAT) to establish these initiatives
Create and implement regional and local supply chain standards and goals
Work closely with VP Supply Chain Operations to set strategy and goals for region that are aligned with corporate initiatives
Coordinate with VP Supply Chain Operations and other Regional Supply Chain Directors to identify opportunities for system-wide collaboration and cost-savings
Build and manage relationship with Regional CFO and other regional leadership to ensure supply chain is a strategic financial partner within the region and supply chain strategies are in sync with financial, functional, and clinical strategies
Analyze operations and expenses and provide leadership and assistance in achieving operational excellence as evidenced by achieving top benchmark scores for the industry comparisons
Serve as primary liaison between corporate supply chain and hospital CFOs, bringing corporate and hospital initiatives into alignment
Responsible for education, communication, and adoption of corporate initiatives and contracts, follow-up on implementation activities, and providing support and interface with hospital departments as needed to accomplish goals
Review regional statistical data, financial reports, annual budgets, and payroll and cost analysis reports identifying improvement opportunities and best practices to be replicated or maintained
Oversee efforts to select and train new Supply Chain Management personnel in the facilities
Oversee and provide direction for customer support activities in the region ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare, or related field
5+ years supply chain or related hospital operations experience
4+ years leadership experience
OR
10+ years supply chain or related hospital operations experience
4+ years leadership experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) or equivalent professional certification
Masters’ degree strongly preferred
