The role you’ll contribute:
Under general direction of the AIT Enterprise Open Systems Manager and direct supervision of team Senior System Administrators, is responsible for complying with AdventHealth IT policies and standards that align with health care industry regulations and best practices. Assists in the daily management of supported server infrastructures (physical and virtual) running Windows-based server operating systems including all aspects of system administration, deployment, performance, maintenance, security, capacity management, problem diagnostics, incident resolution, OS patching and system firmware updates. Collaborates with the Senior and Intermediate System Administrators in the development of server and infrastructure configuration standards and operational processes for each platform supported, participates in the development of system documentation for each solution assigned, and ensures all changes are posted and available for team access in centralized resource library. Assists other AdventHealth IT support teams in the development of operational processes for monitoring, alerting and reporting of system health and capacity thresholds. Collaborates on project design meetings with application vendors and associated technical support teams on specification requirements for configuration, maintenance. Provides process training to application and technical support team members as assigned.

·Maintains an active, working personal cellular phone at all times in order to support the technology systems and services of our hospitals. Position requires that employee must have and maintain the ability to make and receive business related phone calls and text messages 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Ensures the AIT emergency and Enterprise Open Systems team call lists accurately reflect employees cellular phone number at all times.
·Maintains an active, working high-speed home internet service/connectivity at all times in order to support the technology systems and services of our organization. Position requires that employee must have and maintain the ability to connect securely to the AdventHealth IS server infrastructure 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
·Acknowledges receipt of all service alerts or pages within 4 minutes of receiving a priority service call or text when on-call and must engage in problem diagnostics of the server or services within 1 hour of receiving a service call or text when on-call. On-call administrator will accept ownership of event when appropriate and coordinate all repairs as necessary to return the server or application to it’s previous, normal operating condition as quickly as possible.
·Maintains accurate configuration and environment documentation regarding system issues within the Incident Tracking system. Updates tickets/incidents regarding progress on issues, closes assigned incidents in a timely manner.
·Maintains accurate status and documentation on all assigned change requests and service requests within the Change Management Tracking system. Updates change/service requests promptly regarding progress, issues and status and closes assigned requests in a timely manner.
·Notifies manager promptly of major or critical events that affect production or other critical business and clinical environments.

·Prepares technical documentation as assigned to provide information to other team members on appropriate server procedures and processes related to implementation and support.Maintains an effective and accurate information resource library to include software, system documentation, disaster recovery procedures and related networking and storage specifications.
·Assist to maintain security compliance on all servers by participating in security audits to ensure compliance with established, documented corporate policies, regulatory standards and adopted best practices.
·System Administration (Advanced Knowledge)
·Participates in downtime processes as assigned assisting with coordination for execution of specific activities as required.
·Maintains accurate equipment (asset) inventory records and system documentation.
·Maintains and seeks to improve technical expertise in all areas of system and infrastructure support.Maintains current related certification and displays continued growth in learning of emerging technologies.
·Recognizes and identifies any potential areas where existing policies and procedures might require updates or additions to provide accurate support for active and new initiatives.Prepares documentation as needed to train technical staff on equipment, procedures and support of new hardware or operating systems.
·Works with Enterprise Open Systems Manager and Senior Enterprise Open Systems members to design and recommend short-term and long-term technology solutions and roadmaps, identify industry best practices and trends as they relate to the server hardware, associated operating systems and application infrastructure setup.
·Interfaces with external vendors, auditors and regional technical personnel as assigned to solve technical problems, prepare post incident reports, develop best practices, diagnose problems and resolve related technical issues.

·Follows training plans and completes staff training as required to implement projects and orient staff of any updates and changes to process, policies, or projects.
·Works with other AdventHeath IS teams to make scheduling decisions for upgrades or changes required to support active projects.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
·College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 5 years of relevant experience in desired server administration areas listed in “Experience” above.

·Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in desired server administration areas listed in “Experience” above.
(or)
·Certifications and/or extensive and proven experience may be substituted where appropriate:
Successfully completed one or more of the following within the past 2 years:
§Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or Engineer (MCSA-411, 412, 413 or MCSE-414) certifications.
§ITIL V3 (or higher) certification.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·Strong experience supporting Windows Server operating systems (2003 and higher).
·Current experience in supporting virtual guest servers running in a hypervisor-based managed environment (i.e. vSphere ESXi, Hyper-V, OVM, XenServer, KVM).
·Demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills to identify and isolate root cause.
·Working knowledge of domain, networking, SAN storage and database environments and technologies.
·Working knowledge of scripting in Power Shell.
·Experience in a hospital or healthcare related IT environment including knowledge of current IT regulatory, procedural and safeguards as they relate to HIPAA, ITIL, ITSM and HiTrust frameworks and handling of patient data and guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·College degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education preferred.
·Industry recognized certification in I.T. Systems Administration area is necessary.Extensive and proven experience may be substituted for certification where appropriate.
·Previous experience in a healthcare environment a plus
·Experience in scripting or programming languages is a preferred, including C or C++, vbscript, & shell scripting.
