Pay is based upon relevant education and experience. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:Provides comprehensive medical services and functions as an independent healthcare provider. In addition to Physician duties, this provider will serve as the acting Director of Castle Peak.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.Prescribes or administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.Provides health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.Monitors patients' conditions and progress, re-evaluating treatments, and explains procedures and test results or prescribed treatments with patients.Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function.Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational ValuesPerform other duties as assigned.
