JOB SUMMARYThe Police Chief reports to the Vice President, Public Safety and works closely with all health system leadership to ensure the police force has effective protective capability throughout the health system. The Police Chief serves as the Chief Administrator under Texas law ensuring the fulfillment of the legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities expected of a full-service, healthcare law enforcement agency. Plans and directs the security programs, procedures, and controls that deter crime and protect BSWH patients, visitors, medical staff, employees, facilities, and assets from both internal and external threats.
