Due to the retirement of the current chief clinical officer (CCO), OCHC is seeking a dynamic, visionary individual to take over the leadership reigns. The CCO has broad authority, oversees each clinical department, and is responsible for developing the quality assurance/improvement program. This is a unique opportunity to craft a vision for the future, grow OCHC, and improve the health of our patients and community.
Ideally, the CCO would be a physician board-certified in family or internal medicine, although other primary medical providers and levels of leadership may be considered. The role would be about 25% administrative and 75% clinical. OCHC offers a $10,000 signing bonus with a competitive salary and benefits package. Loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp is likely.
Open Cities Health Center (OCHC) is an FQHC in St. Paul, Minnesota's Ronda Frogtown and North End Neighborhoods. It has been a respected neighborhood institution for more than 57 years. Primary medical, dental, mental health, vision, and chiropractic care are provided from its two locations. In 2023, its providers cared for 6,500 patients in 21,000 visits. Over one-third of OCHC's patients need assistance with interpretation--primarily Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.
St. Paul and its sister Minneapolis, the "Twin Cities," are known for their many lakes, natural beauty, parks, trails, top restaurants, arts, cultural activities, and educational systems. The Twin Cities has repeatedly been named the number one area for biking and parks, and five area restaurants were James Beard semi-finalists in 2023.
