Candidate Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a commitment to clinical innovation, teaching, and research and a vision to improve the health and well-being of children.  Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree, be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or both EM and Pediatrics, and eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Indiana. Academic credentials should support an appointment at the associate or full professor level.

About Department of Emergency Medicine: The Department of Emergency Medicine has served patients and communities for over 50 years. The department staffs seven emergency departments throughout central Indiana, including three Level 1 trauma centers, which are the primary teaching institutions for the department. The department is home to an emergency medicine residency, a combined emergency medicine/pediatrics residency, and several clinical fellowships. Currently, the department has nine fellowships with 20 fellows. Combined, the emergency medicine categorical and emergency medicine/pediatric residency programs have 73 residents. The PEM fellowship is comprised of three fellows per year. Statewide, the department consists of 183 full-time faculty, 53 part-time faculty and 285 volunteer faculty. Additionally, 62 advanced practice providers also are valued members of the emergency medicine team.
