Overview
This position is the TERM Limited position needed through 12/31/2025.
The Epic Implementation Project Director, under the direction of the Epic Project Executive, Executive Sponsor and Executive Steering Committee, guides the project team through the implementation of Epic's EMR platform for the Beebe Healthcare system. The Director requires a track record in strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, and change management skills. The Director is the central point of communication, promoting and maintaining a common vision, plan, and goal across all areas of the project for the organization serves as a liaison between Beebe Healthcare needs and Epic implementation staff.
Responsibilities
Manages the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of the project.
Provide knowledge and guidance for the project team to facilitate decision making.
Awareness of all aspects of Beebe Healthcare's Epic implementations.
Works with Epic Project Executive and other Beebe Healthcare and Epic leaders to provide Epic implementation knowledge and guidance for the project team to facilitate decision-making.
Oversees Epic project team members and resource management allocation.
Coordinates all project activities, including software and hardware, business and IT related tasks, establishing super user program, internal communications, and change management, including recruiting & engaging super users, and SMEs.
Reviews the progress of the project regularly with the project leadership team.
Coordinates Beebe Healthcare organization's needs and direction with Epic's Implementation Director (ID) and Implementation Executive (IE).
Communicates with implementation and executive leaders around status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.
Promotes the Epic system and represents it positively to the user and larger community.
Builds, promotes, and maintains organizational and team morale while being an effective change agent in this transformational project.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong project management skills including although not limited to planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Guiding workflow design, building, testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to EHR systems.
Experience & Education Required
Epic Certification and/or formal IT academic education is highly desirable.
>5 years of successful experience in project management.
Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex projects.
Experience with Epic implementation.
Epic Certification is highly desired.
Working Conditions
Work requires typing, filing, use of telephone and sitting for prolonged periods of time
Working in multiple office and clinical sites throughout Sussex County, Delaware.
Stretching, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling are required a moderate amount of time
May lift and carry up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis
Some standing and walking is required
Must communicate fluently in English
Other language proficiency is a plus
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively

Beebe Healthcare serves the Sussex County community with a medical center located in beautiful, historic Lewes, Delaware, and convenient outpatient locations throughout the county. Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedic services.
