Vail Health is seeking a dynamic and visionary Medical Director to lead and build our Concierge Medicine program. This role is perfect for a physician who is passionate about patient-centered care and is eager to create and a concierge medicine program in a resort-destination. The Medical Director will be responsible for establishing the program, overseeing its operations, and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.
About the opportunity:
This position will build out and direct the Concierge Medical Program for Colorado Mountain Medical and Vail Health Clinics. They will provide comprehensive medical services and oversee all aspects of the program. Reporting directly to the President, they will collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and growth, optimize operational processes in the concierge program, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
What you will do:
Work closely with the President and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization's mission, vision, values and pillars.
Provide strategic guidance and leadership to build and serve as primary clinician as well as provide oversight to the concierge medicine program which is inclusive of but not limited to executive wellness programs, longevity/wellness clinics, direct patient care and coordination.
Work closely with clinic staff to coordinate the highest quality care and exceptional service for patients.
Work closely and build positive relationships within the Colorado Mountain Medical Physician teams, Vail Health Clinic Physicians, Eagle Valley Behavioral Health, as well as all community medical and mission based partners.
Perform and document patient history and physical exam, gather data from the medical record, review outside medical records, make contact with referring providers and specialists, follow up on all results with the patient.
Monitor the progress of each patient and revises orders and care plans as needed. Communicate promptly with patient, health care team, and referring health care providers.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including physicians, staff, and board members, as well as external partners, such as patients, payers, and community organizations.
Consult with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns. After hours phone call and telehealth included.
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes. Prescribe medication as indicated.
Serve as a Role Model for the principles of Just Culture and Organizational Values.
Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Experience:
Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with 3+ years of directly related experience.
