The Healthy Weight and Wellness (HWW) Specialty Nurse will be a part-time member of a growing HWW team providing comprehensive treatment to a diverse population of children and adolescents with obesity and related comorbidities. The RN's primary responsibility will be to assist medical providers with responsibilities outside of clinic visits, including obtaining medication authorizations, refilling medications, answering patient messages and phone calls, calling patients prior to visits to facilitate visit attendance. The RN will also provide outpatient consultations for medication checks and will participate in the HWW call schedule. The RN may assist with clinical trials related to pharmacologic treatment for obesity. The specialty nurse will utilize the nursing process
