OverviewThe Care Coordinator, RN for Denial Management is a Registered Nurse who is assigned to the Patient Case Management Department to provide retrospective medical record review of a patient's hospital encounter. Using a collaborative interdisciplinary approach, the Care Coordinator will be responsible for performing audits for accuracy and completeness of medical record documentation and provide guidance and training for nursing units, ancillary departments and third-party payers regarding documentation. The Care Coordinator provides proactive, constructive feedback to physicians, clinical staff in areas where further detailed documentation is needed.
