PRIMARY FUNCTION: Directs the general operations of assigned CAP-accredited laboratories and manages department compliance programs required by the standards of all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies. Develops and implements a Total Laboratory Performance Improvement Program in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization. Serves as Project Manager for lab-related renovations/projects, equipment removal and placement. Oversees the physical plant and environmental conditions of the laboratories to ensure that conditions are appropriate for the testing performed and provide a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical and biological hazards
