The Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will serve as a leader in advancing the academic mission of the department, with particular focus on the academic progress of faculty members and departmental divisions. The Vice Chair oversees and provides mentoring of faculty, fellows and residents in their academic efforts and provides oversight of the department’s academic promotions committee. They will work closely with the chair and vice chairs for education, research and clinical operations to create and manage professional development programs and identify professional opportunities for faculty.
