The department of Quality, Safety and Value (QSV) at the Detroit VA is organizationally responsible to the Assistant Director. The incumbent is the direct supervisor of QSV staff. The purpose of the RN Chief of QSV is to assure high quality care is provided throughout the facility by identifying opportunities to improve care, ensuring the provision of high quality and cost-effective services, and evaluating the quality of patient care and/or the appropriateness and timeliness of care provided.
