Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to become the next Senior Physician Executive and lead our efforts in providing high quality, transformative behavioral healthcare to the beautiful state of Maine. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years in clinical practice as well as a minimum of five years in progressive leadership roles.
The Senior Physician Executive will:
Continue to build a culture that exemplifies the highest safety standards for patients, clinicians, and staff
Lead clinical initiatives aimed at improving patient services and quality/safety outcomes as well as provider engagement, alignment, and satisfaction
Participate in Northern Light Health system-wide committees and various corporate initiatives
Demonstrate a strong business acumen with clinical expertise while impacting the organization’s efficiency and utilization management efforts
Adopt and implement enabling technologies and innovative programs/processes for high-risk patient populations
Primary responsibilities:
Achieve the organization’s strategic vision in collaboration with other executive leadership members
Oversee workforce development and leadership of medical staff
Promote and monitor clinical quality and patience experience
Develop, implement, and monitor financial initiatives
Participate in clinical services including direct patient care (or approved related activity), on-call coverage, and continue education on substance use disorder
Serve as the Service Chief for Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and Northern Light Mercy Hospital, as well as other Northern Light Member Organizations as needed
