ResponsibilitiesAs the Fund Manager for the Department of Medicine – Endocrinology, you will be responsible for the fiscal administration of various research portfolios, including the pre and post-award administration of contracts and grants. Primary duties include:
•Manage all fund activities of designated accounts, from fund proposal and preparation to fund closeouts •Prepare and manage invoicing, reconcile ledgers to ensure proper spending, and project salary and expenses •Compile fiscal information to be used for annual budgets and monthly financial statements •Assist with the preparation of new research proposal applications to federal, non-profit, and private agencies
Salary range: $24.28-$48.04 Hourly
Qualifications
•Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation, and administration of a budget with multiple complex funding sources •Demonstrated skill in preparing short and long term budget projections and analyzing financial reports •Demonstrated ability in creation of comprehensive databases and database management •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis in Excel
Not required, but a plus if you have the following: •Demonstrated experience in post-award research administration, including fund close-out •Skill in using UCPath, Query Data Base (QDB) and Employment Data Base (EDB) •Working knowledge of University financial ledgers and payroll and accounting systems •Demonstrated experience in interpretation and hands-on application of accounting, budgetary, and auditing principles and practices in a University or non-profit environment •Working knowledge of University, NIH, and other major awarding agencies’ grants restrictions and requirements
