Overview
St Luke's Health System is hiring for a leadership position that works closely with the Director, Medical Directors, and Managers to oversee and optimize the clinical practice for Air St Luke's and Magic Valley Paramedics.
This position also facilitates the quality assurance and quality improvement processes that assure we provide consistently high levels of care in a safe manner. The role also participates in a rotation of "Administrator on call" to provide support to teams on a 24/7 basis. The successful candidate will have:
-Experience providing patient care in the out of hospital critical care environment
-Computer program(s) proficiency such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Excellent communication skills and professional level language and preparation skills to drive meetings/presentations to high level stakeholders.
- Be able to discern causal factors to prevent or mitigate areas of risk
- Experience in Emergency Medical Services training and education is preferred
- Able to compile and analyze data to drive clinical outcomes, quality/safety, and maintenance of accreditations.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and can be trusted to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day oversight of the department.
- Assists with establishing consistent standards for clinical practice, policies and protocols across all Air St. Luke's locations.
- Ensures departmental activities and records adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates staff development and education including requirements for clinical rotations and leading or assigning training.
- Conducts clinical case reviews.
- Collaborates with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsels staff when clinical practice standards are not met.
- Ensures patient care needs are met through effective management of staffing resources and operations.
- Assists with budget planning and clinical needs assessments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors' of Nursing Degree.
- Experience: 5 years's of emergency services experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License from the State of Practice.
