MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology – Medical Director located in Mason City, Iowa.
The selected candidate must be an exceptional leader and will play a role in building the future Medical Oncology team in a state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility; support the development of engaged and empowered colleagues; and support a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.
MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is home to MercyOne Cancer Center, a beautiful, patient-friendly, comprehensive Cancer Center. We are currently undergoing a $10 million expansion/renovation for our growing practice!
MercyOne North Iowa Cancer Center offers a reasonable schedule with an average daily patient load of approximately 15-16 patients a day, intentionally designed so our providers can have a reasonable work-life balance. Providers are typically supported by a nurse and a medical assistant. We offer an attractive call schedule and compensation package. Our highly experienced team is actively developing our Survivorship and Genetics programs. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, process-focused and ready to make a difference!
The practice is enhanced by support from five Advanced Practice Providers and two Radiation Oncologists. There are 24 infusion chairs and 20 exam rooms. Call hours are spread evenly between the Oncologist team.
