JOB SUMMARY: The SWHP Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of department. Responsible for providing leadership, oversight and long range planning to ensure that all areas are operating at the highest standard possible ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): -Serves as the main point of contact for team and addresses general issues; escalates to leadership as appropriate. Liaison with top management -Addresses employee problems and grievances -Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans -Provides functional management to the support team to include hiring decisions, evaluations, coaching, and terminations -Develops an in-depth knowledge of SWHP operations and utilizes this knowledge to successfully lead teams -Maintains marketing information and statistics up to dateManages customer support. Plans and supports department activities -Oversees the daily operations of the department ensuring the most effective use of limited resources.Oversees the ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment and ensures that appropriate quantities of all supplies are available at all times.Effectively manages expenses to ensure delivery of margin goals -In partnership with leadership; enforces all policies and protocols -Provides support to leadership as necessary -Conducts meetings with staff to review procedures, discuss workplace issues and share ideas to improve staff engagement, the customer service experience and the organization in general. Disseminates information and initiatives to staff as appropriate -Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: -Minimum of 3 years management experience. Preferably in managing teams -Demonstrated leadership, communication and problem solving skills -Demonstrated effectiveness in team development strategies -Demonstrated ability to evaluate and balance team and individual workloads through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills -Ability to work effectively in an office based environment -Ability to travel as required Last reviewed: November 24, 2015
